Keeley Lawlor

RESIDENT IN COUNSELING

Keeley (she/her) received her Master's degree in Counselor Education from Longwood University. Keeley received her Bachelor’s in Justice Studies with a double concentration in criminology and social justice, from James Madison University in 2021.

Keeley has past experience working with adults but is open to working with clients of all ages. Throughout the counseling process, she works to create an empathetic relationship with her clients to promote growth, self-exploration, and self-empowerment. Keeley is still exploring different modalities but likes to practice with a client-centered approach while cohesively using mindfulness activities and other evidence-based strategies, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).

In her down time, Keeley likes spending time outdoors by hiking, kayaking, or taking her dog on walks. She enjoys reading, film photography, and spending time with her family and friends."
