Rachel is completing her Master’s degree in clinical mental health from Capella University. Rachel has a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a bachelor’s degree in criminology/sociology, as well as a masters degree in education from the University of New Mexico. Rachel has over a decade of experience working with adolescents and adults in various settings.

Rachel is a trauma focused practitioner and human being who understands that mental health issues and difficulties stem from real life experiences that in one way or another forced us to adapt our way of interacting with the world in order to feel safe and get our needs met. Rachel prefers a person centered approach (PCT) and enjoys utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and other trauma-informed treatment modalities. Rachel believes in providing a safe space for clients to be themselves in order to create meaningful life changes and develop skills to cope with life’s ups and downs no matter how normal or horrific they may be. Whether you are dealing with the stress of everyday challenges, relational issues, anxiety, depression, or life altering events, it is so important to feel and know you are not alone. As someone who has done over a decade of her own PTSD work both in and out of therapy, Rachel fully understands the importance of having someone by your side each step of the way, providing the support, tools, and safe space for problem solving, self-exploration, and healing.
